I know this is a little late...but I wasnt a part of the community yet on sunday! But sunday was national cancer survivor's day! So I just wanted to send out a congradulations to everyone...both those done with treatment and those who are currently going through treatment cause we are all survivors :) CONGRATS!

Just a little about me and my story...outline!

I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma about two weeks after my Junior prom (May 21st 2005). I underwent 4 cycles of chemotherapy...2 weeks on 2 weeks off during the summer between my junior and senior year and part of my senior year. After that I had 21 days of radiation. When I lost my hair about a month into chemo I thankfully had a great friend who kept me from getting a wig and wearing a bandana...that boosted my confidence and helped me stay positive. Staying positive was how I feel I got through all the doctors visits and treatments! As of today...I have been in remission for a year and half and counting! I now enjoy talking to others who are going through what I did cause it really helped me when I was going through everything to know that someone else KNEW what I was going through! Well thats just a really short brief of what I went through.
